A Job Well Done

The point was to make the time about me. Mission accomplished! Saturday was a fabulous day, start to finish:

Extra shuteye after conning the dogs into an another hour of sleep

Chinese food and a brownie for breakfast (don’t tell the Weight Watchers leader)

A beautiful, spiritual sabbath morning service

Breakfast for lunch with a good friend

A salon that not only has the nail color I’ve been searching for but has a walk-in appointment open with someone who specializes in curly hair

A blown-dry style for my alter ego

Several hours to rest and relax

A fabulous party at the synagogue, complete with good music and wonderful company

A SECOND social engagement: an adults-only storytelling gig to “Heat up the Box” at the Village Theater. Let me tell you, that room got HOT. (For the record, I can’t decide which gives me more satisfaction: baking good things for people or making them laugh,)

Warm covers and a comfortable bed at the end of a long, fulfilling day
